It's kinda saddening to see so many folks with a 'reading is dumb' mentality, especially because that's exactly what they themselves are becoming. I love the books.

For those who picked the movies!!! OMF the books have more detail and you get to live in a world that's not your own. Imagine things that aren't seen on a freakin screen! Those of you who think reading is boring can go die in a hole because reading has more feeling and is always more interesting. You get to see the characters as you want to and DONT have to see them like the actor. Eg. Harry Potter has his mothers eyes in the book while in the movie not so much. Like sh*t.

The movies take the first 5 chapters I never could get passed for how long it took to pick up and condense them into 25-35 minutes out of 2hrs 30mins of screen time. I normally pefer the books, but no book should take 7 chapters till it starts getting good.

When have you ever in your life seen a movie better than the books. Everybody who chose the movies hasn't read the books to say that, yet they should still know the simple rule that the books are always better.

Most people have never read the books. Hell, most people don't even read. You can't blame them, it's a gift for someone to have the memory span to keep track of what's going on in a good book.
