Anarchy can lead to a new, and better developed country. It may fail pretty bad as well, but it can be escaped too. Authoritarian government would have the resources to ensure you have no hope of escaping and the very name is practically a decision that they will do it.. unlike random people that, although likely filled to the brim with maniacal concepts, only can challenge you so far in their limited resource scenario... if they even want to -for that is a question for them. That said... I do think a lot of people over-estimate the value of anarchy. Complete freedom does still mean complete exposure. If anything, I think secession is the best choice. I just hope someone actually figures out what the new nation should be in their case if they attempt such for their sub-population.. and no I don't support the choices of the CSS except for secession itself.

Anarchy means complete freedom. Neither of these choices are good, but when there is more freedom there is more than one mind in power, when only one person, or union controls everything they can destroy everything. If everyone lives by their own rules, then some would fight for the good, and some would fight for the bad, but either way that's what would happen. No matter what type of government, or non-government you have there will be conflict. So to the people who said for choosing the second option I must be a twelve year old kid, know that I made a choice, and that defines me, but it is my opinion, and does not make me anything other than what I am. I simply see what I want to see, and I see more hope in anarchy.

At least in an authoritarian nation some or most people (it depends on who you are) are safe, but with anarchy, somebody could enter your house and brutally kill you if they feel like it, and not one person would question them, because they would be too busy running for their own lives. NOBODY would be safe from that.

I don't really want a government that is constantly monitoring me and could come knocking at my door without good reason. I admit, I did have to look up anarchy, but I am a naive person and I think the small amount of people in my immediate rural area would not be too troubled. People in more densely populated areas are screwed, though.

Anarchy doesn't mean chaos or no rules. It means no centralized government to dictate the fate of the people. Sooooo Marxism is technically anarchy. Anarchy has been demonized by the media and society when in actuality it is not violent in nature. Sooooo... Make informed decisions before fear makes you chose a society where people are senselessly killed to "maintain order and purity"

Anarchy means that there is no government to help you.... A gang of your neighbors could shoot you, rape you, steal from you and no one would help. You'd get along fine in the Third Reich or Oceania if you kept your mouth shut and did what other people did.

How is it stupid to choose anarchy over totalitarianism (Nazi Germany and Oceana were totalitarian-not simply authoritarian). If we were talking about modern day China or Russia-I'd choose authoritarian over anarchy but not Nazi Germany or Oceana.

Anarchy would be a world without law. Total chaos, mayhem, carnage! I would love to live in a world where it becomes dog eat dog and the man with the biggest gun wins. Why would you want to live in a world full of rules. I wouldn't even have a fighting chance in the Nazi world I'am hispanic, I take it your white.

In case you guys didn't know, anarchy basically means murder, mass crime, and a hell of a lot of makeshift molotovs.
