The big bang theory was developed by a physicist who was also a Catholic priest, so you don't really have to choose. It's kind of like asking who started your car, you, or your car key.

I think that it could be both. It is known that the world was created as a result of the big bang, however I think that there is a god in some form that we may not even recognise yet. What if our entire galaxy is but an atom in the world of my/our god. How would we possibly know?

No need to be mean. Everyone has the right to believe what they want. Even if you disagree, we all just need to respect each other.

For all you people saying God doesn't exist, THAT'S YOUR BELIEF. So STOP trying to get people to not believe in God because if a Christian or Catholic or whatever wants to believe in God, that's their choice because I know I believe in God because a lot of things in life led me to believe that God does exist. Especially the fact that when I pray, He answers.

God is real. God is an unquestionable God, the bible contains hidden secrets. If you atheist read the bible you will fund all the questions you are looking for. How can an explosion just start like that or was there a bomb in outer space that just blew it self. If I'm sad I have God to comfort me and if I'm sick I have God to heal me, I can't tell the big bang to do that. Lastly, people have a

We do not know what created the big bang, but there are many scientific theories and people are working on figuring that out. And all the people who complain about people who beleive in God, I am an atheist - i beleive in science completely. But remember, science is like a god. People beleive in science for explanation, and though we explore it more and have more proof, remember in the 1400s we though the world was flat and that the sun revolved around us. That was science, and so our methods and conclusions day could be wrong. I just feel there is more explanation to science and personally I don't like the idea that human kind and everything else in the world is because of some all powerful being. Things happen through the course of time, evolving and changing, the things happen becasue of strings of events, when you thank god for everything good you have, i believe that you are saying that you realy did nothing. that God is the reason for all your happiness.

The big bang theory make no sense at all. A bang can't just pop up out of nowhere. Everything has a source. God is the only thing that doesn't need a source because the greater power is beyond our imagination.

How can nothing just a second later become a huge vast God? God has always been. Well, the Universe could also always been: this requires one less assumption, so according to Occham's Razor it should be preffered. Case not closed, there are plenty of explanations. But your case is not about Universe: if you have need to decline other possible options, you are insecure.

People say that God doesn't exist, or that science is just s****y and that only god created everything. I'm a christian, but I'm still a bit shaky about the creation thing. I think it's just what people believe in, for instance the evolution theory; I don't believe that my great times one million grandparents were monkeys. However other people do, If you disagree with this, then deal with it. CASE CLOSED !!

Alright lets sort this out real quick, I take it that at least some of you internet dwelers have seen the night sky in your lifetime, so look at it. You would think that with the near infinite amount of stars the sky would be teeming with dots of light that are so compact that it would cover a majority of the night sky (and yes scientists predict that when the light of all of these stars reach us they will cover the sky), but they don't, not even in the most rural areas or in space itself. Why? Because what you are seeing is before the big bang happend, because that light from the stars created hasn't reached us. What you are seeing is nothing says science. But because matter cannot be created or destroyed this is impossible. So with the clear evidence of the big bang and nothing to create it, it is not illogical to believe a God created it. So try and keep an open mid about things and don't be limited to what you can see or that is tangible.
  • image
    ico
The night sky is a vision of the past but that past fluctuate. What i mean by that is that some stars we see in the sky look as they were 300 years ago and others, 3000 years ago. Also, matter can be created and destroyed (ever heard of antimatter? If you combine 5 grams of matter and 5 grams of antimatter, you get nothing so you can take nothing and extract 5 grams of matter and antimatter from it. thats part of quantic physics). and what we are seeing isnt what things were before the big bang because everything (almost, for simplicity's sake we will say it was everything tho) that happened before the big bang in this part of the multiverse was destroyed.

Infinite nothingness prior to big bang means that some unknowable factor had to have caused time to begin, you must have a stimuli, therefore it's not impossible that a higher power doesn't exist, it's just not provable one way or another what kind of power it is, sentient or nonsentient.
