The Bible was written by man, not God. Man tells us that God created the earth. On a side note, I've considered my beliefs and I've reconsidered them many a times. I have no doubt in my mind that I will reconsider them again some time in the future. However, I remain adamant in my belief that the Bible is nothing more than a tool of propaganda invented by humans in order to control and appease the masses.

The whole point of theories like the Big Bang is that they provide an explanation for the universe's existence, consistent with the evidence. There's no need for God in there.
