Having a real one is MUCH better for the environment. For starters fake ones are plastic, the process of making them pumps pollutants into the air, and they're not biodegradable. Real ones, however, covert CO2 to oxygen whilst they're growing.

1. People grow Christmas trees just so they can be cut down, so they technically aren't "saving the forests" if they let them run wild. 2. You don't have to pick up needles, you can use a vacum. 3. I don't think that it's Christmas without a real tree. The smell...picking out your tree...those are some of the best things about Christmas.
