Chihuahuas and shih tzus, more often than not, are annoying barking rats. Maltese, on the other hand, are sweet, fearless little buddies who love to play as much as big dogs, while requiring about 1/8 the work. (Just don't waste your money on one of those stupid long hairdos.)
