But reading peoples minds would be both good yet bad..you would be able to know what people thought of you and yet your 'best friend' could think some stuff that you didnt really like aka thinking your annoying etc but either way you would finally know who's a true friend and not

You can actually use the mind-reading without getting caught. With the flying you'd have to never use it, or else you'd be captured by the government and used for war or something.

Reading minds would have some major advantages. Insider trading without anyway to prove you did it. Knowing exactly why someone is pissed. You could be an epic spy with mind-reading. Plus with flying you'd get noticed quick, fast, and in a hurry by the military and air traffic control.

being able to fly is cool but see it from another position: What would it give you? Except the initial adrenaline rush during the first flies, there's not much more to do with it. If you can read mind, then you will find enough ways to become well-known, rich, etc. etc. And if you are already rich, you can definitely afford to get a jetpack that's even able to fly to outer space ( in contrast to mere flying which is limited quite hard)
