    I have bad nightmares and honestly yes you lose sleep but you can also nap for like 20 mins and not go into a dream state and still feel rested. the hurdles that you will have to go through though are night sweats, sleep walking, bed wetting, and insomnia. but after 10 yrs i got use to it and stopped all those bad habits.(probably missed a few other things)
