-CriticalDrive- says A: (Arcade, Williams Electronics 1981) 2d sidescrolling shooter game that is set on a fictional planet where the player must defeat waves of invading aliens while protecting astronauts. Astronauts who were captured would mutate and attack the player. Failing to protect everyone will result in the planet being destroyed. /// B: (NES, Nintendo 1984) shooter game where the goal is to shoot a number of targets that fly on the screen, with difficulty increasing each round. Doing this lets you go to the next round, while failing result in a game over.

Being discovered will make you go into alert mode until you escape. You eventually unlock new weapons and face bosses as you progress the story. /// B: (Arcade, Nintendo 1982) You play as popeye the sailor as you collect certain items dropped by Olive Oyl, while avoiding enemies in the process.

Considered to be one of the worst games of all time and cited to be one of the causes of the videogame industry crash of 1983. 728,000 unsold copies of the game were buried in a landfill. /// B: (Arcade, Namco 1980) you drive a car around a maze thats designed to resemble city streets. You must collect ten flags in the level before red cars get to them first. These cars also attack you but they can be stunned by using smoke screen. It was the first game to ever have background music as well.

-CriticalDrive- says A: (Arcade, Capcom 1989) hailed for its innovative gameplay and unique soundtrack, you play as strider, a ninja from the dystopian future of 2048, who must assassinate the grandmaster that rules the planet. You attack with a plasma sword and can jump, slide, and climb walls and ceilings. There are multiple powerups to be found in the game as well. /// B: (Arcade, Namco 1982) A racing game where you complete laps within a certain amount of time while avoiding to crash. One of the most successful games of the classic era, spawning multiple ports, sequels and its own cartoon. Its noted for establishing many of the conventions for future racing games.

Unlike galaxian, youre able to shoot multiple times at once, a challenge stage is added between levels and a boss galaga is added that can capture your ship which, if destroyed, can allow you to get it back and control multiple ships at once. considered to be one of the most successful games of the golden age of videogames. /// B: (Arcade, Sega 1989) Three warriors set out on a journey to defeat Death Adder, an evil entity to who has acquired the golden axe, the magical emblem of the kingdom of Yuria, who threatens to destroy it and the royal family unless the people obey him as their ruler. The game is a sidescrolling beat em up where you attack with either weapons or spells and the game also includes a survival mode and two player mode.

The game was innovative in the sense that you could battle any of the six stages in whatever order you wanted to and that upon beating a boss robot, you gain whatever power they have //. B: (Arcade, Technos Japan 1987) You play as one of two brothers as you fight your way into the turf of a group of gang members known as the black warriors. The game is a beat-em up known for its two player capabilities.

-CriticalDrive- says (Arcade, Williams Electronics 1982) You pilot a spaceship with your goal being to collect crystals found by destroying asteroids to make sinibombs. You need these to defeat the boss, sinistar, a demonic ship thats under construction by the enemy ships. The boss will appear and destroy you if you take too long. /// B: (NES, Nintendo 1988) You play as either mario or luigi as you try to save princess toadstool from the bowser who is trying to take over the mushroom kingdom. Like the other games in the series, its a 2d sidescrolling platformer where your goal is to reach the end of the level. Several new powerups appear in the game as well as the inclusion of a map based system and various bonus areas. It sold over 18 million copies and is considered to be one of the greatest games of all times by critics.

You progress each level by defeating all of the enemies and the game was also known for having multiple endings that depended upon the players performance /// B: (Atari 2600, Activision 1982) You maneuver Pitfall Harry through a maze like jungle to collect 32 pieces of treasure in a 20 minute time frame. You must avoid various hazards along the way and is considered to be an important game in the early period of the platforming genre.

-CriticalDrive- says A: (Arcade, Konami 1989) A sidescrolling beat-em up where you play as one of the four turtles after shredder kidnaps one of the turtles friend's, April O'Neil, and their mentor, Splinter. The turtles each play different in terms of range, power and speed and some perform unique moves. Up to four players could play. not to be confused with the NES version of the game which was completely different. /// B: You play as either Popo or Nana as you climb up 32 ice covered mountains to recover vegetables stolen by a giant condor. Upper layers were broken with your mallet which you could also use to kill nearby enemies.

Your goal is to rescue pauline from a giant ape named donkey kong. It was Nintendo's response to their failing success in the US and without its popularity Nintendo would have likely to have never existed as it does today //// B: (Sega Master System, Sega 1987) A cruel dictator rules after the land of algol. After the dictator kills Nero, the leader of the rebel alliance, his sister Alis swears for revenge. The game is a RPG and has had multiple sequels and spinoffs
