I've always found studying for tests to be more of a passive effort, where writing a paper takes active effort, and if I study enough the test itself will be like nothing at all but the paper may still be hard to stretch out to length even if I know what i'm doing. 10 months ago +1
I live in Wisconsin my man, I love all the craft beers I have access to. I know what you mean by not too hoppy though, Americans have such a weird tendency to put as much hops as they can into a beer until it's too bitter to actually enjoy. Milwaukee Brewing Co. has a really good milk stout I frequently enjoy. 10 months ago

Not sure which would end up propelling us further quicker, but I think I may have chosen wrong. In 1300 the world wasn't in a place to utilize the printing press as a major technological innovation yet, and in 1950 much of the western world was in at least a pretty solid position to have computers. Computers also have created an almost exponential growth of knowledge, where the printing press simply provides knowledge linearly. 10 months ago
Mostly, I did like to talk with friends and women if given the opportunity. 10 months ago
I'd just call the cops right away, then my lawyer. 10 months ago +1

I keep a clear piece of tape on it as a joke, trying to stay unmonitored by the government at this point is impossible. I just try to hide my internet activity and call the rest a loss for the most part. 10 months ago
Both aren't really my taste, but I've played three assassin's creed games and I personally don't think I'd get much out of playing another one. They just don't change enough between releases to make it a worthwhile investment in time and money. 10 months ago +1
I hear that, college is great when all you have to have to do to test out of math for your major is have half a brain. 10 months ago

Not to the past however. 10 months ago +1

Looked it up, it's a french tradition. The sad clown, or blanc (white) clown, wears white makeup and acts as a sort of superior and straight-man for the Auguste clown, who acts in a jesterly manor and wears ill fitting and flamboyant (more traditional) costume and makeup. 1 year ago +1

I think this is where we agree, guns should be registered, I just think anyone of sound mind and clean record should be able to get one. Also it is debatable whether or not Russia is developed or not but I do get that some of the statistics can be influenced by other factors, that can also go the other way though. I don't think a gun ban could work in the US the same as in Europe for many reasons. 4 years ago
Guns are banned in Russia and they have a much higher murder rate than the US. Also Switzerland has one of the highest gun ownership rates but has a relatively low murder rate. 4 years ago
I've answered twice now, THE GUN. It's been a trend for the past ten years, it's almost certain the two are related. More people didn't become psychos but it is harder to defend against a knife attack with a knife than against any attack if you have a gun. You took my war is not murder thing the wrong way, I meant logistically. You are in a wholly different scenario when fighting a war than when stabbing someone in the back. Statistics have shown were gun laws are tightest murder tends to be higher (per capita). 4 years ago
Brazil 4 years ago
I did answer, I said the gun. And as I said more people were harmed after the gun ban, not before. People started using knives instead of guns and homicides increased, overall worse than when guns were legal. Also war is not murder, and as I said, mass killings are easier with guns but most murders are not mass killings, almost none are. 4 years ago
The gun, even at point blank range a shot gun is only marginally more fatal than a switchblade knife with a 34% mortality rate, vs 27% with a knife. Every other gun has a lower percentage than the knife and it doesn't even take into account the fact that most guns are not shot at point blank range. And guess what happened in the UK when they banned most guns? Knife homicide increased more than the amount gun homicide dropped. We kill with the weapons we have, we have guns they have knives, both similarly deadly, if we ban those we'll find something else to use. 4 years ago

Huxley man. 4 years ago +1
The reason knives are more fatal in all but mass murder scenarios is the fact that guns often miss their mark, while knives tend to be more accurate and traumatic. Stats, US murder fatalities: Rifles-285, Shotguns- 308, Other (Assault rifles, cannons, ect.)- 123, Knives- 1,490. 4 years ago
Statistically, when used in murder situations, knives are more deadly than a gun and kill more people each year. 4 years ago
