Apollo 13 wasn't really stuck. either way they fired the lander's engine for a correction burn to slightly adjust their trajectory. Apollo missions used a free return trajectory where you loop around the moon and come straight back to earth with no coreecttion burn. the command module's engine didn't work, neither did most of the cm because of the explosion of an oxygen tank on board. it damaged many things in the cm. and the lm only had a limited amount of delta-v. the astronauts weren't really domed.

gravity still pulls you down while you orbit, but you're travelling so quicky, you enter something known as an orbit. And there is actually gravity in space, otherwise everything would float apart and crash, and you wouldn't be able to orbit. I don't know if it's 0.00002 g or anything, or if it's even detectable. 1g= surface gravity level on earth (that you're feeling right now).
