A long as every party of the marriage agrees to it, and both men and women are free to be polygamous, under the same laws and rights. Also polygamy should not be like buying or stealing wifes and husbands without them wanting it or allowing it, as it is in other countries.

Technically, Polygamy is legal in the all of United states as well well as Same-sex marriage. The US Supreme Court ruled in 1974’s Cleveland Board of Education v. LaFleur that the "freedom of personal choice in matters of marriage and family life is one of the liberties protected by the Due Process Clause.” Therefore any jurisdiction that does not recognize or enacts laws to prohibit Polygamy or Same-sex marriage it is commuting a Federal Crime because any such action is Unconstitutional.

This is what's annoying me. If a lot of people on this site say that being homosexual is nothing wrong and if that's what makes them happy, then why are people saying that polygamy is wrong? What if that's what makes them happy?

Yeah but if you marry two+ people there will be alot of drama because everyone will be jealous of the other/s saying that you love them more

Using your logic then nobody should have more than one child since all the children will be jealous of the other children saying that the other children are loved more. Lets be reasonable if they are in a polygamous relationship it's their choice and if they now longer want to be in that relationship it's their choice to leave it.

to each his own. don't judge. you can't control how people want to live. If it's not hurting anyone, don't make it illegal. That's just controlling them. It's pretty much bordering on dictatorship.

i see no reason to keep marriage 1 on 1 if the married people don't want it that way. Separation of church and state, laws should have absolutely nothing to do with religion.

I have I husband and two wives, the each of the four of us all consider ourselfs married to the other three. We have four kids together, I have one to each wife and so does my husband, two boys and two girls. All four of us work and we all pay the bills and we all do the chores. All of our children get to seem all of us parents every day, and there is always at least one parent home to take care of our children at all times. Any one of the four of us is free to have make love with the other three partners or all three and none of use are jealous of the others, although the main focus of our relationship is not about making love, ninety-nine percent of our time is spent around activities that are involve around raising our children and being a family.

    1) you don't need to be married to "shag" multiple people. 2) People in a polygamous relationship are committed to everyone that is a part of their relationship and "shagging" isn't the main or only reason to be in a Polygamous relationship.

But no single group of people in society are being oppressed if polygamy is kept illegal, it's not holding back any rights. Whereas gays not being able to marry is unjust and homophobic.

Totally agree. I can't believe people are comparing the two, giving gays basic civil rights and allowing people to marry multiple other people are completely different matters.
