Both s bullsh*t, life n fact never starts, life is illusion, it is just about uncouscious od selfish choice, i am for conception, it is clear limit. Birth is too late, you Can obviously see, Child is Alive before birth. Most of time, conception is something you can také responsibility for. However there should ve gold care for any mother who was raped, state must be ready to také care od that child and gurantee womans job etc. Also the case when pregnancy threats womens health is reason for abortion. So i am for exceptions and maybe for domě small limity as for example few days from conception... I am liberál, i am not into decide anything instead of people, i am for liberalisation of drugs, for homosexuál marriages, for lots od things... Even a feminist...But i am not for abortions. Todays las is free enough, even too much.

Actually life begins before conception because the sperm and egg cells are technically alive. However, most people would not consider individual cells conscious, with the exception being a fertilized egg. If you believe consciousness is created by or resides in the brain, then a fetus cannot be conscious until the brain develops. Since no one really knows how consciousness works it's impossible to say what stage of brain development it would emerge at.

I think a more interesting question is whether personhood begins at conception or birth.

Well since I am a giant nerd and all, I know that when conception happens that the first cell of the baby develops. In Biology, something is only considered an organism when they have at least one eukaryotic cell, So scientifically speaking, life begins at conception. But the baby doesn't have a conscious brain until like 4-6 months.

Well personally I believe that life starts when the fetus can live without using the mothers body (so at around 6 months).

i believe its at 3 months when it develops basic organ functions. Not trying to argue, just thought you might appreciate my opinion

No it's fine, it is true that it develops organs at that time, you're not wrong. I was more referring to how the fetus could possibly survive outside of the womb (without machinery) at around 6 months so that's when I tend to believe life starts (personally).

Makes sense, it's all mainly opinion, because there is really no set time where it becomes a human.
