It's scientifically proven that men work better than men in combat situations. That said it would be ok for women to have jobs that are non-combat related

It sounds sexist, but if a whole everyone in a certain age range was conscripted, there could be major problems.

"men have to sign up for the draft", so in the case of war America follows conscription?

Although I'm very against sexism (against men and women), women do not have the same physical capability to handle war that men have. The women would need to take more breaks, and the sight of war would also leave a worse emotional impact on them. They would need to be separated, and treated differently. It's been proven that when men and women are in the same area for a long time in the military, the men start to rape the women. Also, think about how other countries would treat the women if they were captured as prisoners, they would probably be treated worse than the men, and used for sex objects. Women can be in the military, but they're not made for the front lines of war.

there are many noncombat roles that women could take.

I mentioned, that women can be in the military. I just don't think they should be on the front lines.

"Need more breaks", no they wouldn't, that's to do with stamina not physical size, they'd just have to make sure they were of the same fitness to the men there. "worse emotional impact", how so? Not all women are emotional weak, it depends on the person, not the gender. You can't make that generalisation.

I know not ALL women are "weak" and "helpless", I'm only saying in general (not all) compared to men; it's not sexism, it's biology. Men were built to be strong and protect, and women were built to take care of children. Are there weak men and strong women? Of course, but I'm talking about the general body structure. Plus, think of other factors, of men and women being together on the front lines, such as: a relationship forming, for example; which can cause major distractions for both the man and the woman and possible pregnancies. The last thing that should happen, is a woman having sexual relations with men on the battlefield and getting pregnant; and it's foolish to believe that's not going to happen. I strongly and fully support women being in the military, and even being drafted. Just not on the front lines.

I didn't mention sexism. But if you agree that there are some weak men as well as women, then shouldn't what you say apply to both? "men were built to be strong and protect, and women were built to take care of children", this isn't the 1500's, that doesn't always apply to both genders so shouldn't both genders be allowed to choose whether they're on the front lines or not? "sexual relations", there are gay men in the military, and they're not having sexual relations on the front line constantly so I don't see why having women around would lead to all these sex acts. Yes some relationships could form but that doesn't mean it would happen for everyone. I'm pretty sure if men and women were on the front line getting shot at, blown up, watching their friends die, they wouldn't be feeling all too horny at that moment.

I agree, but with the emotional part. Most women are brought up letting there emotions out and being more open with there emotions, so many women would not have the emotional toughness I think. Also men evolved to be the fighters, because women were more important to keep alive. That was because a man could "do" many women and fertilize them in a relatively less amount of time while women can only be pregnant once at a time.

Yeah, I understand that concept back then but in modern day, with our vast population, keeping the women alive for population advancements is pretty unnecessary. Yeah, some woman wouldn't be able to emotionally/mentally handle things that happen during war, but then again, a lot of men who go out there can't handle it either. Personally, I think it really depends on the person and not the gender.

Our countries were build as a patriarchal society, so men are the ones who decided that women were too weak to join the army, stop acting like women have been hiding away or getting out of things, they didn't have any choice in the matter.

Women get out of tons of things. Women think it is ok to hit men and that they arent allowed to hit them back
  • image

It's ok to hit men WHEN they're out of control. For a woman, it's not..but if you must in a typical situation, I guess...but you really shouldn't cause it's not right.

That's not ok. Under the law that's still assault, women should still be charged for hitting a man, though it is up to the man to press charges.

Yea, but they get punished less. If a man punches a women he is going to jail for awhile. The girl would maybe get a fine

That's not necessarily the case, the evidence and the injuries obtained is what influences the sentence, not the genitals. Yes, sometimes a lesser sentence can be influenced by gender, but that's only because of gender stereotypes of women being weak and gentle which were created by men/women....so they don't really get out of it. "Women get out of tons of things", besides the justice system what are the tons of things? Both genders have positives and negatives.

They really didn't have choices back in the 1600s either.
