I'm not fat, dumb, or ugly and I'm an American. Yes, I may be a little arrogant but only at the things I know I can do.

I don't really care what people think of America. I don't represent America or her ideals. I'm my own person.

It's largely due to the arrogance that comes from some Americans (which you can see in the comments). When people act like America is better than everywhere else and American's ignore or don't care about anything that doesn't involve them then of course other countries aren't going to be massive fans. (Just to be clear, I'm not generalising, I'm well aware than not all American's think this way).

What's that, rest of the world? I can't hear you from another planet. I'm sure you know what that's like. Or maybe not, since no other country has been to another planet in almost 30 years. Have fun laughing at us from Earth while we're building a GALACTIC F*CKING EMPIRE

Guess what? Many/most of our scientists are IMMIGRANTS. If we did not have them we would fail.

No, because we have rights and opportunities. Trust me, lets see how long America lasts if all of our immigrants were to magically disappear.

So you're saying that the US has more rights and opportunities then most places? Some laughingstock that is

The fact is, the laughing stock lies in its citizens being the stupid ones. Immigrants take advantage of the U.S.'s rights and freedoms to prosper here. Not enough Americans themselves are doing that.

So people who immigrate, even if they live their entire lives here, aren't Americans to you? The only laughable thing about America is that so many citizens don't realize that they're living in the best country on Earth because all they look at about the US is politics and whatever "Americans are fat: statistics they can find online

50% of people who receive a Phd are foreign born. Well obviously we live in a good governmental system (aside from our terrible education), but in the people itself. You don't understand, we depend on immigrants because our own citizens are not smart. Watch this. It explains it PERFECTLY: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK0Y9j_CGgM

I wonder why they moved to America... they just don't immigrate randomly. Once they're in America and citizens and Americans.

They move for their own prosperity, and quite frankly since the U.S. education system is failing, we can't produce OUR OWN smart people. We RELY on foreign people for our economy to stay stable! That is laughable! This video explains my point better: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK0Y9j_CGgM

Italy. None of the other first world countries have taken Italy seriously since WWI. If not them, then France

LOL WW1? Is that far back you have to go back to find something laughable about another country? You are also wrong about France. No one laughs at France. Americans are laughed a constantly because of how dumb, fat, and outright ignorant our citizens can be and that is just a few of the reasons.
  • image

    ico
PJHeavens MaleGold MedalSilver TrophySuper Star from Florida, United States
Well I'm seeing a prime example of ignorant right now. What I clearly said was that between WWI and now, nobody has been able to take Italy serious. France is also laughed at, because other countries, atleast the British and Irish, hate them as much as we do, and they also think they're stuck-up snobs. The thing to remember about European countries is that they pretty much hate all other European countries, more then they do Americans

Just because no one takes them seriously does not mean that they are a laughing stock. As far as i know, we don't think the french are stuck up... Even if they are, answer this. Is being stuck up worse than having fat, dumb and ignorant citizens? Is not being taken seriously (While I'm sure this claim is bullsh*t.) worse than having fat, dumb and ignorant citizens as well?

First of all, most people do think the French are stuck up. More people think that of the French then they think Americans are dumb. Everyone just thought that Bush was dumb, which he kinda was. They all love Obama. And nobody does take Italy seriously, since their economy is terrible and they almost reelected Silvio "Bunga Bunga" Burlesconi. Europeans laugh more at Italy then they do America. Only dipsihts like you think Americans are dumb and fat, which is what a psychanalytic would refer to as "projection"

Saving everyone's ass? We killed 500,000 kids in Iraq! We just go into countries, kill everyone and leave. I wouldn't call that saving everyone's ass. If you went to Iraq and said "hey we saved you", people would beat you up.

You might be off by about a half million kids there. Only 49 kids have died in Iraq because of the war. Oh wait, that's this year. Well sh!t

Yeah, but the sanctions in Iraq that the U.S. had given them indirectly killed upmost of 500,000 kids.

America didn't "save every country's ass" in either world war. It was far from the most important player in either war. The Soviet Union pretty much fought the war against Germany from 1941 onwards. The United States did help fight the Japanese (and they weren't the only ones who fought the Japanese), but that was not nearly as important as defeating the Nazis. In WWI the US sent some troops to the Western front near the end of the war. Not nearly as important as France or Britain.
