Blind from birth. Technology exists now to literally cure blindness. If you've already experienced sight then you know what to expect. Imagine being blind from birth and then suddenly being able to see for the first time.

But if you're blind from birth, you would be used to it and wouldn't have expectations for peoples' looks. When you gradually become blind, everything you've seen would just go away. It would make you miserable as sh*t to have the love of your life's face disappear. Or never sea the stars shine or sun rise/set.

If you're blind from birth, then being blind is all you know. It doesn't seem so bad, because you have nothing to compare it too. If you gradually go blind, then you have to get used to it as an adult. And that would suck.
