You and your partner have adopted a child. The child is Chinese and you and your partner are very happy to finally have a child. Because you and your partner are not Chinese, you feel that you both are raising your child to be disconnected from their culture, so you decide to allow them as much exposure to Chinese culture as possible. You let them spend time with their Chinese neighbours, you take them to Chinese festivals and celebrations. You even take them to Classes to learn Chinese, of which they become fluent in. Years pass, and your adopted child is now 20 years old, and you feel that they can really feel connected to both your culture, and their Chinese culture. One day, you go through their adoption files, only to find that your child is NOT Chinese, but is actually Korean. You've raised your child with the wrong culture. What would you do?
